So we made it home on Christmas eve. Helen and I arrived around 4 pm and were unable to make it to the mass. Claire was an angel during it and Mina was kind enough to take Becket and Luci until Dan could meet her there. He finally found her after communion. I guess better late than never. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner that Dan prepared and sent the kids to bed, Dan went to work (11pm-7 am) and Mina and I were up till around 3 am. Pops, Abi, Tapas, and Kiki then arrived around 4 am. We all slept soundly until the kids woke us up around 815. (Dan was even able to catch a few winks when he got home!)
