Well after the snow started Tuesday, it continued Wednesday and school was canceled. I had the privilege of shoveling the driveway which was not too fun with freezing rain coming down. I was able to get most of it done before we went to the Klempel's house for a delicious dinner. The girls' cabin fever is coming out and it is really making me crazy. Luckily they were able to play with their friends and have a fun time. We got home much too late with three wide awake children.
I was relieved to see St. Columba had a 2 hour delay this morning. Becket and I were up at 0530 (but no other times last night), but the girls were able to sleep in and actually DID! We had a lazy morning then Luci was off to school. Dan dropped her off and I didn't actually get out of my pjs until about 1200! Claire, Becket, and I ran to the grocery store and for the first time I was late to pick up Luci. We actually got a call from the teacher (she thought I may have fallen asleep). Sorry little Lu.
Since returning home after Christmas the house has been just crazy. The Christmas decorations took over the house; the girls's presents spilled all over the family room and dining room. I can't stay on top of the laundry even though I feel like I am doing it every day. I just finished unpacking my suitcase TODAY (Dan still has to do his). The value of "the List" is becoming more evident each and every day. The time flies by yet I still feel like I do very little. I have not had a moment to spare to even think about what creative project I would even like to start. Any ideas are welcome, but please make them something that is short, sweet, and simple.
Becket is starting to figure out sleeping through the night. He has been doing very well and yesterday when he was cranky all he needed was to be placed into his bed. He would stop fussing and fall asleep.
This is the first time all day that I have had to myself. I am now off to bed - hopefully we will sleep through the night tonight as well.
creative project = foot flake. Picture of each in the middle and then finger paints/non-toxic paint on their feet around in the shape of a snowflake. May be messy with 3 of them though.
