I met a children's book author there as well. Carole Hamburger whose books sound very interesting. After our conversation, they were a chatty and very pleasant couple, the books might be worth picking up one day.

Art Walk
Tonight was the Bloomsburg Art Walk. Local artists set up a display in local businesses. We went and walked around downtown. We went to the local candy store where they has an AMAZING display. There was a huge chocolate fountain with lots of choices. There was a canvas where the kids could paint in milk or dark chocolate and create a community masterpiece. Both girls contributed. There was a Matza cracker with white chocolate on it. Then there was dark and milk chocolate that the kids decorated with and tons of various candy options. The girls had a blast making it. They put there handprints on (made in chocolate) and Becket put his toe prints! Claire decorated in dark chocolate and Luci in milk chocolate. Here is a picture of the masterpiece!
While we were there, the Press Enterprise (the local newspaper) same by. They took our picture and asked for everyone's name and age (my name too - YIKES!) I will have to look for the newpaper tomorrow. As luck may have it we did end up in the paper. I was grocery shopping with just Becket (already having forgotten to get the paper) and the lady at the seafood section asked me if I was in the paper that day. Here is a picture of the newspaper picture. We got a copy from the Zimmerman's next door and from the Klempel's next door neighbor (who happens to be our dentist).
Then we walked to the ice cream shop. Brennan's Big Chill aka The Cow Place is an wonderful ice cream shop with delicious homemade ice cream in the most amazing and creative flavors. Thursdays are BYOB (Bring your own BANANA) and get 50% a traditional banana split. Their strawberry ice cream was delicious today. We ate so much ice cream our poor little tummies are going to explode.
