Race for Education

St. Columba did the Race for Education where the kids went to Bloomsburg University and ran on the track. They had numbers that they wore on their shirts and for every lap they would get a sticker. There was a booth with water bottles that had the kids names on them for water breaks. The girls had so much fun. The preschool kids were to run with a parent and since Dan was off till 1pm, we all went. Becket was in the front pouch on me. When they blew the horn, Claire took off and Dan went running with her. Luci ran and then walked for most of the hour. Claire did 25 laps which was a little over 3 miles. Luci did 16 laps, about 2 miles. The kids were exhausted after the race, but there was pizza and ice cream at St. Columba which we had to go back for! Luci took a great nap, but Claire didn't even fall asleep - I was shocked! After saying that she was hoping she would win the race and that she was "as fast as Dash" from the incredibles, I let the girls watch a movie. The three of us got on the couch and watched "The Incredibles", Claire wore her Dash pjs all day!!
