Claire touched the hot stove on Tuesday. She burnt her hand and we immediately put it under cold water. She was crying and getting lots of hugs from me, when she asked when Dad was coming home. He would know what to do. I told her there was nothing more to do and she said we can ask dad or maybe some of dad's friends from work, they would know. When we picked up Luci from school we asked Mrs. McCarthy if she had any tricks. She gave her a hug and told her your mom is a doctor and knows a lot about these things. She then said "your mom is one of the smartest cookies that I know." Claire's response was..."Do you know who is the smartest cookie - Abi. She is a nurse!" I guess in this world, I can't win. Oh well, all I can provide is love and hugs!
